First, it started off fine enough In fact, I loved the little references they made to the original including the font of the title. So, they wanted to make something special and then it was all downhill. The story was so over the top ridiculous that no sane person could take it seriously. There was only 1 other person in the theatre with us and he asked how we liked it. Turns out his friend was the co writer for the film and believes she was trying to put satire into the film and everyone missed it. So, knowing this, I may give it a second look from that perspective. He believes it will end up a cult classic. Time will tell.
